Shiquan holds a Ph.D. Degree from Stanford University Biomimetics and Dexterous Manipulation Lab focusing on Robotics. He has multiple patents in China and the U.S., and has published about 20 papers in top international journals and conferences including IJRR, IROS, ICRA, RSS, Science Robotics, etc.. His research on Multi Limbed Climbing humanoid robot won the best paper award in the International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS). He founded Flexiv in 2016, which is backed by top tier VCs, including GSR Ventures and Gaorong Capital etc., with an accumulated fund of more than 20M USD. Flexiv Ltd. ushered in a new generation of industrial robot, Rizon, at the annual Hannover Messe trade fair.
