R&T Engineered Factory, Automation Manager | Spirit AeroSystems

Gregorio (Greg) Balandran is an engineer manager and initiative leader for the Research and Technology (R&T) group focused on Engineered Factory solutions at Spirit AeroSystems. Balandran is currently a member of ARM’s Technical Advisor Committee, has over 12 years of experience in the field of robotics, and has over 10 years of experience in the aerospace industry. In his current role, Balandran leads a high-skilled cross-functional R&T team along with collaborative research institute/university partners to develop technologies that address chronic factory issues and that are scalable/replicable across all sites around the world. Balandran received a bachelors and master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma where he focused on research in Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing Systems (AIMS) and industrial robotics.
