Evan Drumwright

CEO & co-founder | Dextrous Robotics

Evan Drumwright is CEO and co-founder of Dextrous Robotics, a Memphis-based startup automating the unloading of boxes from shipping containers with its Chopstick system. Prior to Dextrous Robotics, he was a senior research scientist at Toyota Research Institute where he developed the Drake simulator. He also was a professor in the Computer Science department at George Washington University where his work was funded by NSF, Willow Garage, Open Source Robotics Foundation/NASA, and Hewlett Packard.

Drumwright graduated from the University of Southern California in 2007 with a Ph.D in Computer Science (concentrating on robotics) under Maja Mataric. He also holds a B.S. in Mathematics and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Memphis.
