CEO | PickNik Robotics

Dave Coleman is CEO of PickNik Robotics, a developer of motion planning software based on MoveIt, the most widely used open-source software for robotic manipulation. PickNik, which boasts of deep academic robotics roots and decades of robotics software development experience, also provides robotics engineering and research services. Coleman has 12 years’ experience working in the field of robotics automation and is a leader in the open source MoveIt and ROS communities. He has worked and consulted for a wide range of robotics companies including Google Robotics, Open Robotics, and Willow Garage. Coleman received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and holds a PhD in Computer Science from Colorado University Boulder.
