2020 Robotics Pitchfire Competition
The RoboBusiness Conference & Expo provides a forum for members of the robotics sector value chain to come together to network with industry peers, learn about the latest robotics technical and business trends, exchange ideas, and uncover new opportunities, all with the goal of driving robotics innovation and spurring robotics sector growth. Central to this vision is the launching and development of new robotics companies.
$2,500 Prize
For seven years, the Robotics Conference & Expo has featured the Robotics Pitchfire, a must-attend event where robotics startups compete for a $2,500 cash prize for the best robotics solution. The Pitchfire event will be covered by Robot Report, Robotics Business Review and other robotics media companies, and the winning company will also be profiled in Robotics Business Review.
Previous RoboBusiness Pitchfire winners include:
- 2019: Tombot (Companion robot for emotional support)
- 2018: Southie Autonomy (Software supporting code free robotics programming)
- 2017: UnitDoseOne (Pharmaceutical dispenser)
- 2016: The Kobi Company (Outdoor mobile robotics platform)
- 2015: Autonomous Marine Systems (Autonomous sailing platform)
- 2014: nLink (Mobile drilling platform for construction)
- 2013: Unbounded Robotics (Mobile service robots)
Fast Passed and Lively
During the Pitchfire, robotics start-ups deliver a 5 minute ‘pitch’ to a panel of investors and robotics industry luminaries – along with Robotics Business attendees – during which they will describe their company’s solution, business model, value proposition and more. After all contestants have delivered their pitch, Pitchfire judges will compare notes, come to a consensus, and then announce the winner of the 2020 event.
This year’s Pitchfire takes place on June 23rd immediately following the last sessions of the day. Host and master of ceremonies, Andra Keay, Managing Director of Silicon Valley Robotics, is sure to keep things moving and lively. Fast paced, dynamic and fun, Pitchfire is a perennial favorite among RoboBusiness attendees.
