maxon IDX drives stand out for their high torque density. The compact EC-i motor technology (BLDC) combined with an EPOS4 positioning controller yields extremely high continuous torques and high power density.
Its compact size makes the IDX more efficient than current solutions on the market. The unit’s high-quality design is complemented with an IP65-protected housing.
Functionality of the positioning controller
The CANopen and EtherCAT field buses, as well as the adjustable digital and analog inputs and outputs, are matched optimally to the various functions and operating modes of the CiA-402 device profile. In addition to the intuitive commissioning software, there are libraries available free of charge for integration into a wide variety of master systems.
With the graphic user interface of the EPOS Studio, the configurable drive system automatically searches for ideal control parameters (auto tuning) and is ready for use at the press of a button.
Integrated protective functions
The integrated temperature sensors on the winding and in the positioning controller are evaluated directly in the drive and enable optimal utilization of the operating range.
